  The final tournament of the 2008 season was about typical for every tournament this year. There has been lots of great play, lots of compelling story lines, and a lot to take away from the tournament. This week, Davis Love made me look stupid, and he'll be on Tour for another two years (yay?), but other than that, there were lots of golfers on the outside looking in that made a great effort this week; and while they may have come up short, we may hear from them again in 2009 if they can get through...   It's here, I'm sad to say; this is the final tournament of the 2008 season. Not only is this the last chance for all of you fine Fantasy Owners to win your respective leagues; but it's the last chance for the golfers involved this week to get themselves an exemption for 2009. It appears the number to hit to be in the top-125 is going to be right about $850,000; and there are about 10 golfers who have a legitimate shot at hitting it.   As the Fall Series starts to wind up, we get to see one of the great additions to last year's Tour schedule - Grayhawk Golf Club, more specifically, the "Raptor Course". This isn't your stereotypical Fall Series course; this is a true test from start to finish. It's lined by your typical shrubbery positioned in waste bunkers; but there are huge bunkers and water hazards strewn throughout the course.   It's the halfway point in the Fall Series, and there is moving and shaking happening all over the top-125 on the Money List. Players are coming back into the Fall Series to try to cherrypick a win; others are leaving because they've secured their cards - while the rest are in an all-out war. And this week, at TPC Summerlin, we've got ourselves a long course (7,243 yds) with few trees and fewer challenges. • PGA Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Valero Texas Open - The Resort Course at La Cantera Golf Club · San Antonio, TX

  As last week's course was a "bomber's delight", this week's course is the exact opposite. It's a 6,900 yd. course with dramatic elevation changes, limitless bunkers, split-level greens and water throughout much of the course. It's not a walk in the park, but the short distance of the course can lead to very low scoring. Justin Leonard won here last year with a score of -19. • PGA Top Tournament Performances: Turning Stone Resort Championship - Atunyote Golf Club - Verona, NY

  It was a picture-perfect week for golf in upstate New York, and the excitement of golfers chasing after a Tour Card or an exemption is truly fun to watch. The sheer length of Atunyote ended up getting to a lot of players this week (with a couple of exceptions), and there were a few unexpected finishers in the top-25 who got there almost exclusively on length alone. • PGA Start 'Em Sit 'Em - Verizon Heritage - Harbour Town Golf Links - Hilton Head Island, SC

  Now is not the time for a Masters hangover, whether you're a golfer or a Fantasy player, you can't let up now. While the Masters is likely considered the Super Bowl of Golf, it's hardly the end; it's more of the beginning.
