Man,

I'm not an overly sentimental guy but what a sad day in the NFL. McNair was one of the toughest SOB's that I have ever seen.

Another tragic case of a millionaire athlete probably doing something that he wasn't supposed to be doing. Caught downtown, hanging with the dregs of society, and getting shot in the head. Something tells me that if these guys just stayed in their suburban neighborhoods, they would be grilling brats and not being capped.

If this story pans out to be exactly that - another athlete not being able to get away from a perceived "gangster" culture, I will be so disappointed - especially with this being Steve McNair who, as far as I know, was supposed to be a class-act.

Steve McNair should be setting an example for the young african-american athlete...not becoming one. This is getting out of hand in sports.

That hot dog contest is bunk. They should have to eat them just like a normal person, non of that splitting the dog in half and dunking the bun in water.

And they should have to have at least 2 condiments, one of either A0ketchup or B) mustard AND either A) sourkraut B)onions or C) relish.

With Boley injured and Derrick Brooks unsigned, he is still a big play guy that we could get for a one year rental....that is all he really wants to play. Let him play with a hot head in the same division of the team he played his ass off for and played college ball near, and win another ring in spot duty proving that a player like him should end on his terms. The eleven time pro bowler is a class act and would fit in perfectly as good depth at the Weak, Middle, or Strongside. He is still so versatile. And if he beats out a young guy than so what. It is so hard for another team to get a guy off our practice squad anyway. If anyone sniffs a guy that you really want you either make room for him on your roster or anti up, but either way you have first dibs. Of course that is how Ernie Accorsi feels about losing guys on the practice squad in the book about his career The GM (Must Read).
