  Centerfield is a very tough position to draft because there are only a few elite players at that position. After that it’s a lot of guess work and risk.   The second base position was a bit odd this week. There was, of course, Dustin Pedroia putting up terrific numbers. However, the other two were pretty much surprises. Kelly Johnson has been pretty consistent putting up numbers, when healthy, this year. Asdrubal Cabrera isn’t exactly the first name that comes to mind when you think of fantasy friendly second baseman. He did help owners none-the-less and deserves recognition.   Catchers seem to come and go, but Geovany Soto and Brian McCann look like they’ll be fixtures in the catching department for a while. Each of them seem to be two of the most consistent catchers in the league. It wasn’t luck that made each of them NL All-Star catchers.   It seems that it's literally been week after week that the catchers in the league don't show any consistency. I shouldn't really say that though since it isn't entirely true. Yes, most of the catchers in the league are inconsistent. It's a very physically demanding position and can cause a lot of wear and tear.   There are several players to keep an eye on this week. There are the obvious players that have inflated values due to huge performances, but there are also some players who may not have been considered at first. Gambling is always fun until you lose.   This week was a perfect example of two things. One of them is that the first base position is the powerhouse position of fantasy baseball.
