NASCAR's 10 Hottest Drivers - Week 31

1) Jimmie Johnson (Previous Position: 2nd) - Winning the race moves him up to the top spot this week. He had one of the best cars all day on the track.

2) Carl Edwards (Previous Position: 1st) - Finishing second at Kansas moves this driver into second place. He did all that he could to try to win the race, but wound up hitting the wall late in the final lap to cost him the win.

3) Kevin Harvick (Previous Position: 3rd) - Harvick did not really have anything for the leaders, but still wound up with a solid sixth place finish at the end of the race.

4) Clint Bowyer (Previous Position: 4th) - Bowyer wound up finishing in the 12th place spot after getting a pass though penalty at the start of the race.  He really did have a rocky that could have won the race.

5) Greg Biffle (Previous Position:  8th) - A third place finish at Kansas after two wins in a row moves this driver up to fifth place.  He is really moving up my rankings quickly and really wants to win the championship.

6) Dale Earnhardt Jr. (Previous Position: 5th) - DEJ was not special all day but finished in 13th spot.  A nice finish to try to keep him in the championship hunt and he did move up one spot in the Sprint Cup standings.

7) Jeff Burton (Previous Position: 7th) - Burton stays in seventh place this week.  He qualified in the back, but rallied all the way back to seventh.  Another driver on this list that was not a factor at all in this race.

8) Matt Kenseth (Previous Position: 6th) - With Greg Biffle and Jeff Burton having better days (in my opinion), Kenseth moves down to eight place even though he finished in fifth place.  He did move up one spot in the Sprint Cup standings.

9) Jeff Gordon (Previous Position: 10th) - Gordon moves up to ninth with his fourth place finish at Kansas.  He was not feeling well all day, but his car was.

10) Denny Hamlin (Previous Position: N/A) - Hamlin moves onto the list as Tony Stewart and other drivers just short of making this list stunk.  He did what he had to do to keep his dim Championship hopes alive.  David Ragan almost got the final spot in my rankings.

Biggest gainer: Greg Biffle - 3

Biggest loser:  Matt Kenseth - 2

Off List: Tony Stewart

New to list: Denny Hamlin
