A couple more laps and Jimmie would have won the race last week ... had him in my sleeper section . Tony Stewart on the other hand, was not special at all, but finished 17 th . Dale Jr. was good at points in the race, but fell back to 11 th . Greg Biffle finished in tenth, but was not special all day long. Vickers was the second best B level pick, but was not special at all. The other sleepers did not do it in the end. Juan Pablo Montoya wound up getting hit late in the race twice ending his great... • NASCAR's 10 Hottest Drivers - Week 34

    1) Jimmie Johnson (Previous Position: 1 st ) - Johnson keeps his first place ranking with his win at Martinsville. Not many cars had something for him during the race especially at the end of it. 2) Clint Bowyer (Previous Position: 2 nd ) - Bowyer stays in his spot with this 10 th place finish at Martinsville. He was not a factor at all. 3) Kevin Harvick (Previous Position: 4 th ) - Harvick moves up one spot with his top ten place finish at Martinsville. Never was a factor in this race. 4) Jeff Burton... • NASCAR Pep Boys Auto 500 Expert Picks

Well I rebounded nicely last week. Two drivers in the top five, five drivers in the top 20. At one point I was thinking about having all Hendrick cars in my expert picks article, which would have worked out nicely. I thought that would be big hoggish though. Jeff Gordon finished fourth, but led some laps. One long green flag run killed him a bit. Jeff Burton on the other hand wound up getting a one-lap penalty late in the race that killed about five spots for him in the standings. I wound up with... Read More...

    1) Jimmie Johnson (Previous Position: 1 st ) - Johnson keeps his first place ranking with another top ten place finish. Had the lead for parts of the race, but almost wrecked it a few times in the race. 2) Clint Bowyer (Previous Position: 2 nd ) - Bowyer finished 12 th at Lowe's was never really a factor in the race all day long. 3) Jeff Burton (Previous Position: 5 th ) - Winning the Sunday race moves him up to third place in my rakings. He had the proper pit strategy late in the race. He moved... Read More...
  • NASCAR TumsQuikPak 500 Expert Picks

The only thing good about my picks for the Saturday Night race were the two B list drivers I had in the top ten. Both of them were active and helped a lot point wise. My A list picks were a bust, as both Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth wound up with trouble. Carl was the second most picked A list driver this week though. My C list picks were not that great either, as both of them wound up into problems as well. A list active driver: Jeff Gordon - This is the fifth time on the list for Gordon. Over... Read More...

Wound up extending his lead big time as well and even fell down one lap early in the race. 2) Clint Bowyer (Previous Position: 4 th ) - Bowyer is another driver that survived all the wreckage to finish fifth. Was not special all day though. He also moved up two spots in the Sprint Cup Standings. 3) Kevin Harvick (Previous Position: 3 rd ) - Harvick wound up with a top 20 finish even though... Read More...
  • NASCAR Bank Of America 500 Expert Picks

Boy was that a wild race at Talladega. Only two good things occurred with those picks : I had the winner of the race and I picked the starting front row. Even the Yahoo Fantasy Experts wound up with bad days for the most part. Ryan Newman was a bust that wound up car problems finishing him in last place, but around 50% of the people picked him. Kevin Harvick, Travis Kvapil and Dale Jr. wound up in the same wreck. That gave them only so-so efforts. All three of them could have won the race; their... Read More...

    1) Jimmie Johnson (Previous Position: 2 nd ) - Winning the race moves him up to the top spot this week. He had one of the best cars all day on the track. 2) Carl Edwards (Previous Position: 1 st ) - Finishing second at Kansas moves this driver into second place. He did all that he could to try to win the race, but wound up hitting the wall late in the final lap to cost him the win. 3) Kevin Harvick (Previous Position: 3 rd ) - Harvick did not really have anything for the leaders, but still wound... • NASCAR Amp Energy 500 Expert Picks

Well, I rebounded nicely from last week with six cars in the top 20 ... which did include another winner. Clint Boyer wound up with a solid finish of 12 th after having to serve a penalty early for passing a driver before the start/finish line. David Ragan was not a factor all race long, but finished in the top ten. Casey Mears finished a solid 14 th , but led some laps to help boost his score. Ryan Newman finished a solid 16 th , but did wind up a lap down at one point in this race. Had one of the... Read More...
