NBA Top Weekly Performances - Small Forwards, Final Edition

Well, folks, Championship week is coming to a close and that means it's the end of fantasy basketball for everyone.  I know you are sad to see the season go, as am I, but there's always next year.  Let's take a look at some guys who helped you win your league this week.  I've got three small forwards for you, and an honorable mention that I couldn't leave out.  They all played above everyone else at their position and deserve to be mentioned.  Here are this week's Top Small Forwards:

LeBron James, CLE:  It should be no surprise (especially if you won your league with this guy) that LeBron is on this list yet again.  He took control of the Small Forward position this season and did it loudly.  Last week he averaged 33.5 points, five assists, 7.5 rebounds, two steals, one block and just 1.5 turnovers in 36.5 minutes.  The guy is a beast on the court and he balloons your fantasy points tremendously.

Carmelo Anthony, DEN:  Anthony, along with teammate Allen Iverson, is determined to get Denver into the post-season.  Right now they are tied with Golden State for the 8th spot in the west, but both guys are playing like there's no tomorrow and this is their last chance.  Last week Anthony averaged 30.3 points, two assists, 7.5 rebounds, 2.3 steals, one block and three turnovers in 38.5 minutes.  Along with James, Anthony has excelled this season, as I'm sure you noticed when you checked your points on a daily basis.

Danny Granger, IND:  Indiana is just two games back from Atlanta in the east, vying for that 8th spot in the playoff race.  Granger has had an excellent season, but he's stepped it up as of late to give the Pacers an extra push.  Last week he averaged 27.5 points, 1.5 assists, eight rebounds, 1.8 steals, 1.8 blocks and 2.3 turnovers in 39.3 minutes.  With Jermaine O'Neal struggling to come back from his injury, Granger has stepped up to help the Pacers continue to win games.

Honorable Mention:  Rudy Gay of Memphis.  Gay has really had an excellent season and he's often been just shy of making this list.  He deserves to be mentioned and hyped for the way that he's played; regardless that Memphis had a tough year.  Last week Gay averaged 23.8 points, three assists, seven rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.5 blocks and two turnovers in 34 minutes.

That's it for the final edition of Top Small Forwards.  Make sure you check out the other areas of Screaming Sports for the latest in fantasy news!
