We're at the very end of the Fantasy basketball season, and I hope you all did well. We've only got a couple days left to go, so let's take a look at how the top three power forwards did this week.
Gold
Chris Bosh - PF - Toronto Raptors - Great numbers this week for Bosh as the Raptors try to get on a roll before the playoffs start. He's been on fire over the last 11 games or so, and the streak seemed to start around the time that Bosh called out his teammates in the media for playing soft. Here's what Bosh did this past week: 26.5 pts. 10.0 reb, 2.5 asst against 2.5 turn/game, 3.0 stl, 2.5 blk and shot 60% FG and 80% FT. That's how you play going into the playoffs.
Silver
Danny Granger - SG/SF/PF - Indiana Pacers - Granger has done a really nice job over the past month of the season, despite the fact that the rest of his teammates haven't joined in the effort. Outside of Mike Dunleavy and maybe Travis Diener, there's been really no help for Granger, and as a result, the Pacers are likely going to miss the playoffs. Regardless, Granger was great this week, and here's what he did: 27.5 pts, 8.0 reb, 1.5 asst against 2.2 turn/game, 1.8 stl, 1.8 blk and shot 48.1% FG, 83.3% FT and made 3.0 3-pt/game at 36.1%.
Bronze
Ron Artest - SF/PF - Sacramento Kings - Even with a painful thumb injury, the much-maligned Artest has actually come to play during the tail end of the season, regardless of the fact that the Kings have long since been out of the playoff chase. Here's what Artest did this week: 20.5 pts, 6.0 reb, 2.0 asst against 2.0 turn/game, 2.5 stl, 2.0 blk and shot 41% FG, 100% FT and made 3.5 3-pt/game at 37.2%.
For those who need totals instead of averages: Granger slides into first (4 games), David West (PF- New Orleans) moves into the second spot (5 games) and LaMarcus Aldridge (PF/C - Portland Trailblazers) gets the third spot (4 games).
Stay tuned this week for Top Yearly Performances, something to ponder for next year's draft.
