  Fantasy defense seemed slow this week. The bigger names didn't produce well, there were no real big fantasy numbers overall, and the best weeks were produced by some people that owners may never heard of. These may have just found themselves on the radar due to performance and ability this week. • NHL Top Weekly Performances - Defensemen

  Talk about a spectacular week. The defensemen of fantasy hockey completely went above and beyond in helping out their owners this week. However, none of them are even of the elite status yet, which makes these players all the more valuable now that they've showed how well they can produce.   This week was a bit surprising in terms of the top defensive performers. Dion Phaneuf tops the list, obviously, but the other players aren't exactly big names compared to others.
