• NHL Top Weekly Performances - Goaltenders

  There were several great goaltending performances this week. However, they probably wouldn't be from many names you would expect, especially with how the week started. Henrik Lundqvist and Mike Smith each started off badly, yet somehow they were able to turn in some very impressive stats. As for the top goaltender this week, Martin Gerber, he was just plain dominant. Each goaltender was able to give a spark to their team and produce some much needed wins down the home stretch. • NHL Waiver Wire - Post Trade Deadline Edition Feb. 27

  Well, I tried to invoke my no-trade clause, but the editors of Screaming Sports assured me I didn't have one. Oh well.   It's been a slow start to the trades, making for some very lengthy conversations amongst approximately 100 pundits on three Canadian national sports networks. • NHL Top Weekly Performances - Goaltenders

  The top goaltenders this week aren't exactly the ones you would expect to see on here. There is no Martin Brodeur, Henrik Lundqvist, or Roberto Luongo on the list this week. The award for best goaltending goes to Jean-Sebastien "Giggy" Giguere. However, the others who made this list deserved it after playing better than the elite goaltenders this week. 1.)
