• PGA Top Tournament Performances: Fed Ex Cup Playoffs - Final Round - The Tour Championship - East Lake Golf Club - Atlanta, GA

  East Lake Golf Club was the site of some very good golf this week; even better than was originally thought after the first round. Officials decided to punch up the greens a bit to 12.5 on the Stimpmeter in preparation of the Tour Championship, and it made a big difference. The winner was single-digits under par, and all week long pretty much everyone played very good golf; and who you would expect near the top were at the top when it was all over. • PGA Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fed Ex Cup Playoffs - Final Round - The Tour Championship - East Lake Golf Club - Atlanta, GA

  For decades, the Tour Championship was the pre-eminent goodbye tournament (for the traditional season that is) for the very best players on Tour. However, for the last two years now, this is the final stop for the FedEx Cup Playoffs and we all get to see who takes home the richest prize in golf; the $10 million bonus check. Last year, the story was Tiger and more Tiger, as he ran away with it and there wasn't much doubt as to the winner. Vijay Singh has a 10,000 point lead on Camilo Villegas... • PGA Top Tournament Performances: FedEx Playoffs Round 3 - BMW Championship - Bellerive Country Club - St.Louis, MO

  The remnants of Hurricane Gustav hovered over St. Louis throughout the first three days of the BMW Championship, forcing (eventually) 36 holes to be played on Sunday. It appeared like lots of golfers were distracted or out of sorts with things because of the start and stop schedule, but those on this list were able handle it and maintain their focus. Golf goes into their bye week this week; so golfers can think about a good performance or stew about a bad one, but the final field of 30 is set; and... • PGA Start 'Em Sit 'Em: AT&T Classic - TPC Sugarloaf - Duluth, GA

  The AT&T Classic (formerly the BellSouth Classic), was traditionally the "Tune-Up Tournament" before the Masters. It's a similar (albeit easier) course, and it used to draw the best talent around. This year, coming after the TPC, the exact opposite is the case. This will be a weak field, and it will be up to the top echelon of the tournament to produce, and anything less will be a disappointment. • PGA Start 'Em Sit 'Em: WGC-CA Championship - Doral Resort & Spa's Blue Course - Miami, FL

  We've got another split field this week, with the upper echelon players heading to Doral for the WGC; and the rest of the field heads to the Banco Popular Puerto Rico Open in ... wait for it ... Puerto Rico. Yahoo! Fantasy Golf has decided to go with the WGC event, so that's where we'll go to as well.
