• PGA Busts of the Week: AT&T National - Congressional Country Club - Bethesda, MD

  For as many solid rounds as there were with the favorable weather conditions this week, there were just some other tournament performances that were positively head scratching. Some of them could possibly be contributed to old age and exhaustion, although they'd probably be upset that I'm making excuses for them if they read this. • PGA Weekly Sleepers: AT&T Classic - Congressional Country Club - Bethesda, MD

  This week the Tour heads to Congressional, which is the site for the 2011 U.S. Open. It's already being prepped for the tournament, so this week will be a stark departure of the low-scoring courses from the last couple of weeks. Congressional checks in at about 7,200 yards, which means even the shorter hitters are eligible for good finishes here. It will take accuracy and great putting in order to score well, so bombers without a complete game are going to be cast aside this week. With the absence... • PGA Start 'Em Sit 'Em: The Memorial Tournament - Muirfield Village Golf Club - Dublin, OH

  It's Jack's Tournament. Jack's tournament, The Memorial, has become one of the most anticipated tournaments each year. Muirfield Village Golf Club was the dream and work of Jack Nicklaus. The golf course is situated on 220 acres, and was officially dedicated on Memorial Day, May 27, 1974, with an exhibition match between Nicklaus and Tom Weiskopf. Nicklaus scored a six-under par 66, which stood as the course record until 1979. Nicklaus built his dream course, and the golfer with the best... • PGA Top Weekly Performances: Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial - Colonial Country Club - Ft. Worth, TX

  Colonial proved to be as tough as ever, but the top of the leaderboard had a great week and came up with really fine performances on the technical course. Although the day will be ruled by the story of the winner; taking a quick peek at the rest of the top-15 will give you an idea on how stiff the competition was this week, and how well the most successful players dealt with it. The US Open is at Torrey Pines this year, and Colonial is a pretty similar course; requiring a technician over a bomber... • PGA Start 'Em Sit 'Em: Crowne Plaza Invitational at Colonial - Colonial Country Club - Ft. Worth, TX

  The Tour this week moves to one of the classic courses on Tour. Colonial has been a part of the PGA for over a half-century, and its genius is in its simplicity. It's not an especially long course (a little over 7,000 yds), but it's very technically challenging, and it all comes down to one word; trees. There are trees everywhere on this course, and the layout demand that they all come into play. To score very well, you have to cut the multiple doglegs and drill it down the middle of an almost... • PGA Top Weekly Perfomances: The Players Championship - TPC Sawgrass - Ponte Vedre Beach, FL

  TPC Sawgrass once again proved why it's one of the toughest courses on Tour. Rounds the first three days of The Players Championship were pretty high; but the final day was disastrous. 25-35 MPH sustained winds with consistent gusts between 45-50 MPH made TPC Sawgrass nearly unplayable most of the day, until things died down a bit for the players in the final few groups. Once again, 90+% on the "experts" were way wrong this week, and they'll be called out in my PGA Tournament Busts... • PGA Tournament Sleepers - Verizon Heritage - Harbour Town Golf Links - Hilton Head Island, SC

  Choosing a sleeper might prove to be a bit difficult this week, because it's not a full field, so a lot of my choices for "starts" would be considered sleepers already. So when reading through this, just consider that I didn't pick these folks to "start" for a reason, so they should be seen as "sleepers". • PGA Busts of the Week: Arnold Palmer Invitational - Bay Hill Club and Lodge - Orlando, Florida

  It will be tough to find three golfers who really stunk up the joint this weekend. Vijay jumped out to a huge score on Friday (-9) and that put the cut line on a tough course at +1. This means golfers like Colin Montgomerie (72-71, +3) got cut, where most weeks he would be in the mix for the weekend. There are examples this weekend of some busting however, so be advised that these busts would have to be of the epic variety to qualify this week. It's an invitational tournament; all the invitees...
